Inga Zelena-Bauer
Inga Zelena-Bauer works as a research assistant at the Centre for Eastern European Law. Her research interests include Ukrainian law and comparative law, with a focus on the legal systems of post-Soviet states in the context of democratisation processes. After completing her law degree in Ukraine, she went on to complete an LL.M. in International Law and Human Rights (Riga Graduate School of Law) and a Master’s degree in Global Studies specialising in Law & Politics (University of Graz).
In her doctoral thesis, she is researching the ombudsman institutions within the legal systems of selected post-Soviet countries, including Ukraine, from a comparative and legal-theoretical perspective, analysing the legal peculiarities of their implementation and development (from both a formal and substantive legal perspective), taking into account country-specific conditions.
