International book launch: ‘General Administrative Law of Ukraine’

On 5 June 2026, as part of an international presentation at the National University of Uzhhorod (Uzhhorod, Ukraine), the German-language textbook *General Administrative Law of Ukraine* was officially launched; its editors are Professors DDr. Dr. h.c. Wieser, Dr Lazur, Dr Karabin and DDr. Bilash.

The textbook *General Administrative Law*, published in 2026 and edited by Prof. Bernd Wieser and the Ukrainian professors Yaroslav Lazur, Tetyana Karabin and Oleksandr Bilash, was awarded first place in the ‘Textbook on Public Law’ category at the 4th International Competition for Academic Publications, held under the title “Jurydyka”, in the category “Textbook on Public Law”.

On 12 February 2026, the three-day international conference on the theme ‘Fokus Ostrecht / Focus Eastlaw’ took place in a hybrid format at the Faculty of Law of Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (Germany). The academic legal conference was organised by the Institute for Eastern European Law at the University of Kiel with the support of the German Society for Eastern European Studies, the Alumni and Friends of CAU e.V. and the Ostrecht Kiel e.V. association.
