Wednesday, 30 November 2022

Editor Prof. Bernd Wieser in cooperation with Ukrainian professors from the Uzhhorod National University

The new textbook "Special Administrative Law" (ISBN: 978-617-554-043-5; https://www.oldiplus.ua/osoblive-administrativne-pravo/), edited by Univ.-Prof. Bernd Wieser (University of Graz) and the Ukrainian professors Yaroslav Lazur, Tetyana Karabin and Oleksandr Bilash (Uzhhorod National University), is the first textbook in Ukraine that deals (in Ukrainian language on about 450 pages) with the origin and development of the sub-areas and institutes of the Special Administrative Law of Ukraine using a specially developed system of presentation of material. The presentation is conducted through focusing on the regulatory subject matter and objectives, as well as the legal means used by the legislator in each area. The textbook, aimed at scholars, undergraduates, graduate students, lecturers, legal practitioners and all those interested in modern administrative law, is an innovative attempt to transfer modern developments in administrative jurisprudence into teaching.

On November 28, 2022, Prof. Tetyana Karabin (Uzhhorod National University) handed over to the Centre for East European Law and Eurasian Studies five copies of the textbook "Special Administrative Law" published at the end of 2022 and thanked the Director of the Centre Univ.-Prof. Bernd Wieser for the fruitful cooperation over many years. The successfully implemented textbook project together with professors of Uzhhorod National University was preceded by an equally successful textbook project of the German-language textbook "Introduction to Ukrainian Law" (https://www.beck-shop.de/einfuehrung-ukrainische-recht/product/31832767), which was implemented in 2020 under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Bernd Wieser.
